bukit bintang with dad + pictionary with friends

basically, every time dad and i meet up, we'll spend a big portion of time in bookshops. borders is amazing. they let people just hang around and even provide big comfy leather seats. unlike some other bookshops, they dont wrap up every single book, well, except for those precious photography books with big glossy pages of pictures. they cant afford not to, one such book about Italy wasnt, i.e. exposed to every curious non-book-loving common human hand and by the looks of it, i think it'll be on the borders shelf for the rest of its life.... unless someone adopt it.

by dad.

also by dad.

the next day:
Had brunch with pan, sheila, sharin and alison at ss2- long shifu for dimsum. the food is very delicious but it's quite expensive. so.. being aunties.. we head off to another dimsum coffee shop, which was also at ss2 and continued our brunch, which was already lunch by then. sipping the hot tea under the sun beside the road was quite enjoyable according to pan, and only pan. then, pan, sheila and I went to sheila and her boyfriend ros's home to play PICTIONARY!!!!!!!!!!!! pictionary is so much fun! how to play? easy. just pick a card, and draw out the word on the card. drawing an apple is simple, but sometimes you'll get cards like "lazy" or "mother Theresa" or "king Henry IV". and your teammate must guess the word under three minutes. well, its a sand-timer thing so i dunno exactly how much time was allowed.

oh ya, and we went to sri karak to try the durian bomb. Ho Chak, the food program also went there and that was how pan and sheila found out about the bomb. after trying it, i still prefer the natural fruit. but the food there is quite nice, we ordered spinach soup, steamed egg and claypot chicken. the former two was very "qing dan", you can taste the sweetness of the vege and the natural flavour of the egg with salted egg and century egg. but, it was tasteless to ros. so.. maybe if you like full flavored dishes.. dont order the steamed egg and spinach soup. order the claypot chicken. and if you are curious what the durian bomb tastes like, order one first. that's my suggestion. hahaha....

da bomb.
